A mink escaped from a mink-farm
in South Armagh
is led to the grave of Robert Nairac
by the fur-lined hood of his anorak.

Paul Muldoon’s little poem refers to Captain Robert Nairac, an undercover British soldier captured by the IRA and murdered. His body has never been found.
