Devotion to the Sacred Heart is a special form of devotion to Jesus. The image of the Sacred Heart is particularly prevalent in Irish Catholic homes. My grandmother was a devout believer in the Sacred Heart. Although she lived in Ardoyne, she always attended Mass in the Sacred Heart Chapel on the Oldpark Road.
