In 1972 a car bomb on the street outside my present studio killed three bin men. The circular forms within the painting are the bin lids / shields. I have positioned myself in the tree outside the window looking in. The pose is taken from a photograph taken at the grave of my infant son. The painting is an attempt to weave different incidences of loss and memory.
