The Bridge

The Bridge is a diptych that is made up of two photographs. They have been taken in black and white and show a tiered bridge stretching into the background. The bridge is located in Derry, it stretches across the River Foyle.

The city is divided by the River Foyle that parallels the division of the two communities living there. The Bridge represents this division but also unites them together under the idea that the bridge can be a meeting point. Either side of the bridge looks threatening.
