
Time Trap

Invited by the Prison Arts Foundation to work as a ‘Artist in Residence’ for one month in the Maze Prison, Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Amanda worked in collaboration with Loyalist & Republican prisoners on a compilation of five diverse animations. The animations explored different concepts based around confined time. All the prisoners have now been released under the Good Friday Agreement.
Treding Water, UDA.
Reference is again made to the sea in this clay animation created by a group of Loyalist prisoners.
A Sense of Letting Go, INLA.
In remembrance of the hunger strikers.

All prisoners move in the same direction, walking or running around the exercise yard.
Ar n-am ag biogadh, IRA.
Direct colour animation onto super 8 film with selected sound track. This individual identified with the Native American people and wanted to create movement inspired by the sea.
