“Between the years 1998 and 2008 I worked systematically in gathering and making photographic records, specifically on the Architecture of “The Troubles”, Military installations in various forms, as well as collecting visual material Scrapbooks, Photo Albums, Poster, film footage, prison art, MOD material….. all derived from the Troubles. My motivation to make this work stems largely from my own need to make sense of and recognise the environment I grew up in, while simultaneously using the strengths of photography to make a “Record”. Much of this material I have chosen not to publish.”
