Marc Evans’ film based on the deeds of the loyalist gang the ‘Shankhill Butchers’ in 1970s Belfast. Victor Kelly, played by Stuart Townsend, is the leader of a gang of men known as ‘Resurrection Men’. Kelly’s ruthlessness makes him a local legend. A journalist, played by James Nesbitt, is on the trail of the gang, but he is putting himself at risk through his obsessive need to discover the truth about the ‘Resurrection Man’.
