Arise O Great Zimbabwe was created using a unique style of painting known as Photorealism. A cow can be seen to the right of the painting casually observing its surroundings. In the background a military helicopter is flying low over the hills, a common sight during the Troubles. In the foreground a man stands next to a graffitied wall holding a KFC box.

Dermot Seymour portrays the view that cow’s were the silent observers in the countryside while the violence was occuring all around them.
