Black pig in a birthing pen in an enclosure, formerly an old cottage, surrounded by 3 bullocks roaring in an agitated fashion.

Diarmuid Delargy symbolic representation of threat perhaps suggests the travails produced by the division of Ireland. The Black Pig’s Dyke is an ancient boundary between Ulster and the other three provinces of Ireland. (Diarmuid Delargy has not been consulted on this interpretation.)
