Three women who’s bodies have been twisted and deformed by the result of a bomb blast. The impact from the resulting blast wave impeding their movements.

Three Derry Women displays the force and impact that the blast has on the human body. Bombings became a part of every-day life during the Troubles with many victims on both sides of Northern Ireland’s community. The bronze statues are still very relevant today and form an important reminder of the devastation caused by the bombings.
