McWilliam created a series of bronze statue’s named ‘Women of Belfast’. The series was produced in 1970’s to reflect on the increasing tensions and levels of violence in the country at the time. The statues are a reflection of the pain and suffering experienced by those caught in the bomb blasts that ravaged many parts of the country.
